About This Lesson

Master two essential methods for solving quadratic equations: factoring and the quadratic formula. In this lesson, students review how to factor quadratics using the outsideโ€“inside method and learn why the Zero Product Property only applies when one side equals zero. When factoring fails, students discover how the quadratic formula always works , even when solutions are complex numbers. This lesson is part of the Polynomial Toolbox series designed to strengthen algebra skills for success in higher math.
