What is Grab & Teach?
Grab & Teach is a marketplace where teachers can buy and sell interactive H5P lessons in both student ready and fully editable formats. It is also a supportive teacher community where members can encourage and recognize each other through KudoWalls.
-
Is Grab & Teach free to use?
Yes. Grab & Teach is free for all teachers. Free members can use the H5P editor to create interactive lessons and sell them on Grab and Teach. You can use an H5P editor you already have, such as the one on H5P.com or Lumi.education, or you can use our editor from your My Account page. We also offer paid plans with more features; please see our membership page.
-
How do I contact support?
If you have questions, run into an issue, or need help with your account, you can reach us in two ways:
- Use the Contact Form on the website. You can find it on the Contact Us page.
- For urgent questions from EduCreators or active members, you may also send a direct text message to the site admin at 603 968 0758.
Most questions are answered within 24 to 48 hours. Please include as much detail as possible, such as your account email or order number, so we can help you faster.
-
Is my data and my students’ information safe?
Yes. Protecting teacher and student privacy is very important to Grab & Teach. We collect only the minimum information needed for lessons to work properly and to track student points.
Student names added through the roster are visible only to the teacher who created the roster. Students do not create accounts, and Grab & Teach does not collect any personal information directly from students. If your school does not allow real student names, you can use simple aliases or code names instead and tracking will still work.
All teacher data, lesson files, and payment information are protected through secure connections. Teacher sensitive information is encrypted and Grab & Teach never sells or shares user data with third parties.
-
What is KudoWalls
Kudowalls is a space for encouragement on Grab & Teach. Teachers can leave kind words to support each other’s lessons, instructions, assessments, and activities.
We ask everyone to focus on support, not criticism. If you do not want to write a message, you can still react by clicking the buttons under the post.

What membership options are available?
Grab & Teach offers four membership options for teachers based on H5P editor features and payout rates.
1. Free Membership
2. Fan Membership
3. VIP Membership
4. Pro Membership
You can view full membership details and pricing here: View Membership Options
-
Which membership fits my needs?
The best membership for you depends on how you plan to use Grab & Teach.
- If you want to track student performance and see points, choose Fan, VIP, or Pro. The Free plan does not include student point tracking.
- If you sell your lessons and care about higher payout rates, choose VIP or Pro.
- If you work in a team and share H5P creation with colleagues, VIP or Pro will suit you better since you can share H5P files more easily.
Many teachers start with Free or Fan and move to VIP or Pro as their needs grow.
-
What happens when my membership expires?
When your membership expires, your account simply returns to free member status. There are no automatic renewals or recurring charges.
You will still keep your account, roster, and lesson history, but your membership benefits will stop:
- Fan members lose access to Roster and Reports until they renew.
- VIP and Pro members lose access to lessons that require an active membership.
Lesson links created under your membership will no longer be active once it expires. To restore access or keep using your links, simply purchase a new membership using the same account.
If you became an EduCreator while your membership was active, you keep your status permanently. You may continue to upload and sell lessons after your membership ends, but your payout rate will change to 60%.
You can view your current membership status in My Account ‚Üí Order History.
-
How do I join or renew my membership?
Joining is simple. Just go to the Membership Page on Grab & Teach and choose the plan that fits your needs: Fan, VIP, or Pro. Add it to your cart and complete checkout using your Grab & Teach account.
Memberships on Grab & Teach are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. There are no recurring charges and you do not need to cancel anything when your membership ends.
If you want to continue your membership after it expires, simply purchase a new plan using the same account. If you create or use a different account, your previous lesson links will no longer be active because links are connected to your original account.
-
Do memberships automatically renew?
No. Memberships on Grab & Teach are one time purchases, not subscriptions. There are no automatic charges and no recurring payments.
When your membership period ends, your account simply returns to free member status. You can purchase a new membership at any time using the same account.
If you create or use a different account to purchase again, your previous lesson links will no longer be active because each link is tied to the account that purchased the membership.
To keep uninterrupted access to lessons and features such as Roster and Reports, just purchase a new membership before it expires: Purchase Membership.
-
Do I need a paid membership to use H5P lessons?
No. A paid membership is not required to use H5P lessons on Grab & Teach. Free members can also purchase lessons and share the student ready link with students.
However, Free members cannot see student points. You will need a paid membership to track student performance.
-
Can I share my membership with other teachers at my school?
No. Memberships on Grab & Teach are for individual teachers only. Each teacher must have their own account and membership to use lessons, track student scores, or access the Teacher Portal.
Sharing an account is not allowed for several reasons:
- Each account can set up at most 6 sections with a total of 150 students.
- Student scores, rosters, and reports must stay securely tied to the correct teacher account.
- Teachers who are EduCreators have personal and payment information stored in their accounts, which must remain private and secure.
For these reasons, each teacher should create their own account and purchase their own membership.
You can view membership options here: View Membership Plans.
-
How does Grab & Teach handle membership tier changes (Fan, VIP, Pro)?
Grab & Teach does not issue cash refunds when you switch tiers mid-term. Instead, if you still have time left on your current tier, we may convert your remaining days into bonus days in your new tier.
Because each tier has different benefits and value, conversions are not always one-to-one. We use fixed conversion rates below, and we always round down (we never round up).
Conversion rates
- Fan → VIP: remaining days ÷ 2.4
- Fan → Pro: remaining days ÷ 3.1
- VIP → Pro: remaining days ÷ 1.35
- Pro → VIP: remaining days × 1.3
- VIP → Fan: remaining days × 2.3
- Pro → Fan: remaining days × 3.0
Examples
- Example 1: You have 120 days left on Fan and upgrade to VIP. 120 ÷ 2.4 = 50 bonus days (rounded down).
- Example 2: You have 90 days left on VIP and upgrade to Pro. 90 ÷ 1.35 = 66 bonus days (rounded down).
- Example 3: You have 100 days left on Pro and move down to VIP. 100 × 1.3 = 130 bonus days.
After you switch tiers, your previous membership is marked as ended and your new membership will show the updated expiration date in your account.
Note: If you have multiple memberships active at the same time, Grab & Teach converts any remaining time from other tiers into the tier you are purchasing, using the rates above.
-
Is the H5P editor free to use?
Yes. The H5P editor on Grab & Teach is free to use. You can create lessons, organize them with folders, and list them for sale on Grab & Teach. You may also download your lesson and use it on your own LMS.
Free members cannot generate student ready lesson links or track student points. Paid members can generate student ready lesson URLs, use lessons directly on Grab & Teach, and track student performance.
-
Can I create multiple folder levels in the H5P editor
No. The H5P editor on Grab & Teach supports only one layer of folders. You can create as many folders as you need, but you cannot place folders inside other folders.
If you want a more advanced organizing system for your H5P lessons, we recommend lumi.education.
-
Why are H5P files deleted after 18 months of no edits
The purpose of Grab & Teach is to support active teaching and sharing. If an H5P lesson has not been edited for 18 months, it is usually a sign that the lesson is no longer being used. To reduce storage costs and keep Grab & Teach sustainable as a small one person operation, old and inactive files are removed automatically.
You can keep your lessons active simply by editing or updating them from time to time.
-
Can I edit the H5P file on other platforms after I purchase it
Yes. After you purchase an editable H5P file on Grab & Teach, it will appear in your H5P editor under My Purchased H5P. You can copy it into your editor and open it.
When you click View, you will find a Reuse button at the bottom. This allows you to download the H5P file to your computer. You can then upload it to any platform you prefer.
-
What is H5P?
H5P stands for HTML5 Package. It’s a free, open-source tool that lets teachers create interactive learning content, like quizzes, drag-and-drop activities, interactive videos, and presentations right in a web browser.
Think of it as a way to turn your regular lessons into hands-on, clickable experiences that help students stay engaged and practice what they learn. H5P activities can be shared with students through a link, and teachers can track students’ points in the Teacher Portal on Grab & Teach with a paid membership. You can learn more or purchase a membership here.
-
How can I use H5P activities in my classroom?
H5P activities are flexible and can fit into many parts of your teaching routine. Teachers use them as warm-ups, checks for understanding, independent practice, quick reviews, or short assessments. They’re also great for differentiation and anchor activities that keep students engaged while you work with small groups or individual learners.
Quick start (3 steps)
- Choose an H5P lesson on Grab & Teach.
- Copy the student link and share it with your class (Google Classroom, LMS, or email).
- Students complete the activity on any device, and their scores appear in your Lesson Reports on Grab & Teach.
Why teachers use it
- Engaging: interactive questions, drag-and-drops, and videos make learning active.
- Flexible: use it for differentiation, enrichment, or as anchor work during group instruction.
- Insightful: see who has completed the activity and how they performed in your Teacher Portal.
Score tracking in the Teacher Portal is available with a Fan or Pro membership. Learn more or purchase a membership.
-
Do I need to download anything to use H5P?
No. You and your students can use H5P lessons directly in any modern web browser with no downloads or installations required.
You can share any lesson link from Grab & Teach, and students can open it on a computer, tablet, or phone. If you create your own lesson, paid members can click Generate Student Link and share that link with students. Free members cannot generate student links but can still download their lesson and use it on their own LMS.
-
What are the benefits of using H5P?
H5P brings interactive learning to life. Instead of passively watching or reading, students click, explore, and respond as they learn, which keeps them engaged and helps concepts stick.
For teachers
- Time-saving: ready-to-use lessons on Grab & Teach make it easy to plug activities into your plans.
- Instant feedback: automatic scoring helps you see understanding in real time.
- Flexible use: works for warm-ups, stations, assessments, differentiation, or homework.
- Data tracking: view student points and progress in your Teacher Portal.
For students
- Interactive and fun: they learn by doing: answering, matching, dragging, and exploring.
- Self-paced: students can repeat activities for mastery or enrichment.
- Accessible: H5P runs right in a browser on any device.
All progress tracking features are available with a paid membership. Learn more or purchase a membership.
-
How long do purchased lesson links stay active?
The length of time a lesson link stays active depends on your membership and the type of purchase.
- VIP and Pro members: You can use all lessons that creators choose to opt in. Your lesson links stay active for as long as your membership is active.
- Free and Fan members: Purchased lesson links stay active for 3 months.
- Bundles: All lesson links included in a bundle stay active for 6 months.
- Editable H5P files: These have no expiration. You may download and keep the file forever.
Each link is tied to your account and should not be shared publicly or posted on open websites. This ensures student scores are tracked correctly in your Teacher Portal.
To keep full access to lessons and student score tracking, consider becoming a paid member. View Membership Options.
-
How do students access an H5P lesson?
Students access an H5P lesson through a link you provide. You can share the link directly or paste it into your LMS, and students can open it on any device with a modern web browser.
If you are a paid member, students will be asked to enter their names so their points can be recorded. Their spelling must match the names in your roster. You may also use a simple alias name system to protect student privacy.
-
Do students need accounts to use H5P activities?
No. Students do not need to create an account to access or complete H5P activities. When you share a lesson link from Grab & Teach, students can open it directly in their browser and start interacting.
Before students can begin, teachers should upload their class roster in My Account → My roster. When a student opens the link, they must enter their name. The name must match a name on the teacher’s roster; if it does not match, the student cannot start the lesson.
If you want to see student scores in your Lesson Reports, you will need a paid membership. Learn more or purchase a membership.
-
Can I track student scores in H5P?
Yes. Student score tracking is available for paid members. To record scores correctly, you will need to create a roster so students can enter their names exactly as they appear before starting the lesson.
-
Can I assign H5P lessons through Google Classroom or an LMS?
Yes. You can assign H5P lessons from Grab & Teach through Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, or any other learning management system that accepts links.
Each H5P lesson has its own unique link. Simply copy the student link from the lesson page and paste it into your class post, announcement, or assignment inside your LMS.
Students can open the link directly in their browser without needing an account. Their names must still match your uploaded roster to begin the activity, so make sure your roster is ready in My Account ‚Üí My Roster before sharing links.
If you want to see student scores in your Lesson Reports, you will need a paid membership. Learn more or purchase a membership.
-
Can I create my own H5P lessons?
Yes. We encourage teachers to create H5P lessons, share them with the community, and earn money from their work.
You can create lessons directly on Grab & Teach and use the Sell this lesson on Grab & Teach button to list them for sale. You may also upload your own H5P file when creating a listing.
The H5P editor on Grab & Teach is designed to be simple and easy to use. If you need more advanced editing features, you can use platforms such as H5P.com or Lumi.education.
-
What is the EduCreator Program?
The EduCreator Program allows teachers to sell their H5P lessons on Grab & Teach at no cost. Your payout rate depends on your membership tier.
If you choose to opt in your lessons for VIP and Pro unlimited access, you will also receive a share from the VIP and Pro member fee pool whenever those members use your lessons.
For full details, please see our EduCreator Program page: Learn More.
-
How do I become an EduCreator?
Becoming an EduCreator on Grab & Teach is free. Simply sign up as a member, go to your My Account page, and select the Be an EduCreator tile to complete the application form.
Before you can publish lessons, you must submit your W 9 form and your bank account information so we can process your payouts. A completed W 9 form is required before you can publish lessons.
-
Can I make changes to my EduCreator profile?
Yes. EduCreators can update their shop name, description, logo, banner, W 9 form, and bank information directly from their account.
To make updates, go to My Account ‚Üí EduCreator Info Setting. Any changes you make will appear on your public EduCreator Page.
You may unpublish your EduCreator Page at any time, but this does not unpublish your individual listings. Each listing must be unpublished separately.
-
How do EduCreators earn money?
EduCreators earn money on Grab & Teach in two ways: through one time lesson sales and through lesson usage by VIP and Pro members. When VIP or Pro members use your lessons, you receive a share of the member fee pool.
For full details, please visit: EduCreator Program.
-
How do I upload and list my lessons?
After you become an EduCreator and submit your W 9 form, you can upload and manage your lessons directly from your account. There is no approval process, so you can begin listing lessons right away.
To upload a lesson:
- Go to My Account ‚Üí My Listings.
- Click Submit a Lesson and enter the required details such as title, description, grade level, and subject.
- Upload your H5P file (maximum size 10 MB). If your activity includes a video, use a YouTube or other video link instead of uploading the video file.
- Select the correct category so teachers can find your lesson easily.
- Click Submit to upload your lesson.
After submission, your lesson will appear as a Draft. When you are ready, you can click Publish.
Please note that H5P content cannot be edited after there is a purchase or VIP or Pro member usage.
To get started, make sure you have an active membership: View Membership Options.
-
How do payouts work?
Payouts on Grab & Teach are issued by direct deposit, so a valid bank account must be on file. Payments are processed on the 6th day of each month and include all earnings from the full previous month.
EduCreators earn income from two sources:
- Lesson sales: Earnings depend on your membership tier and its payout rate.
- Membership usage pool: 50% of VIP and Pro membership revenue is distributed to EduCreators based on verified classroom use of their lessons. All EduCreators, including Free members, are eligible to receive these funds.
You can view both current and upcoming payouts at any time in My Account ‚Üí My Earnings.
Ready to start earning? View Membership Options.
-
Do I have to provide my W 9 and bank information
Yes. Federal law requires us to have a completed W 9 form on file for any EduCreator who earns money on Grab & Teach. In addition, all payouts are issued by direct deposit, so valid bank account information is required.
Your W 9 and bank details are stored securely and used only for payment and tax reporting purposes.
-
What are the benefits of including my lessons in VIP or Pro unlimited access?
Including lessons in unlimited access benefits both the teacher community and creators.
- It supports the teaching community. Unlimited access allows teachers to focus on instruction rather than purchasing individual lessons, making it easier for them to find and use high-quality content in their classrooms.
- It increases the likelihood your lesson will be used. VIP and Pro members generally expect unlimited access. If a lesson is not included, they are less likely to pay extra and may choose a similar lesson that is included. Being in the pool gives your lesson another way to be selected and used.
- Usage can improve visibility and affect ordering. Lessons that are actively used by VIP and Pro members may surface more prominently in product ordering across Grab & Teach, helping teachers discover them more easily.
Including a lesson in unlimited access does not replace individual sales, but it creates an additional pathway for your content to reach teachers and students.
-
Are all of my lessons automatically included in VIP or Pro unlimited access?
No. On Grab & Teach, creators control whether each lesson is included in the unlimited access pool.
You can choose to:
- Include a lesson in unlimited access (VIP/Pro pool)
- Keep a lesson as individual purchase only (not included in unlimited access)
Please note that unlimited access only applies to student-ready lessons. Editable H5P files are not included in unlimited access and are sold separately.
-
Why is there a minimum price of $3.14 per lesson?
Grab & Teach is not designed to maximize profit, but it does need to be sustainable.
Grab & Teach is built and maintained by one person, and every lesson sold comes with real operating costs. When a lesson is purchased, it is not just a file download. Your students use website resources each time they open and use the lesson, including server processing, bandwidth, and storage.
Also, to accept credit card payments online, Grab & Teach must use third party payment processors such as PayPal or Helcim. These services charge transaction fees on every purchase.
If lessons are priced too low, those fees and operating costs can be higher than what Grab & Teach earns from the sale. In fact, even at $3.14, Grab & Teach may earn very little after fees. That is why this minimum price rule exists, so the platform can keep running without losing money.
-
Why can only VIP and Pro members post free lessons?
Grab & Teach encourages teachers to share and support the community, and free lessons are an important way to help other educators discover your work.
At the same time, every free lesson still uses real platform resources. When a lesson is uploaded and used, it consumes server processing, bandwidth, storage, and memory, even if no one is paying for it.
Grab & Teach does not operate at the scale or resource level of a large corporation, so limits exist to keep the platform stable and fair for everyone.
For now, posting free lessons is limited to VIP and Pro members. This helps Grab & Teach balance community sharing with the cost of running and maintaining the platform, so it can continue to support teachers long term.
